Hey, I enjoy an IBM NetVista 8305-PCU. It has XP Pro, 512 MB of RAM, a 2.24Ghz CPU. It come with no OS preloaded, so I get XP pro and installed it. at first, the Audio driver didn't work, and the Monitor was set at VGA res near 256 colors. It didn't show any other settings in the control panel. The ethernet didn't work any. I went to the IBM (now lenovo) support site and found the driver downloads that be closest to what I needed, and got the onboard graphics to work, as very well as the audio card. I installed a different ethernet card.
now I hold the computer wirelessly networked by channel of a USB adapter, and have found that out of the computer's 6 USB ports, single one works at a time. they all work, merely not together. If I have something plugged into one, the others don't work, and vice versa. It's really annoying, I hold looked through all the downloadable drivers on the network site, but I can't find one. I thought maybe it be a power problem or something? Help!
USB port problem...?
The whole series of those models are out of order unfortunately.
I lately had similar customers complains and I should reassemble their computers.
The cheapest road would be: To change the motherboard(that's what I did surrounded by my cases) with the proper graphics and nouns on card.
ASROCK is very apposite and cheap= lb37.00
Try using a USB hub, which plugs into the computer and feeds into other USB ports.
