Does such a piece exist, a virtual burner which replaces a physical burner, so I can burn/write data to disc i.e cd/r, cd/rw or conceivably even dvd's without have an actual burner in my computer?

If you want a physical burned DVD afterwards you need a physical burner.

No, BUT in that are virtual burner, what it does is it burns a copy of a disc inside of your drive so you can save the disc as a iso record. (For ex, you could burn a game you own on your thorny drive so you won't have to put the disc within your drive everytime you start a game)
