What features should a appropriate 3.5 inch external complex disk storage area hold?

I wanna buy a shield for an internal Samsung HDD. There are many casing available in souk.Ones with aluminium body with/without lover. Do we need a separate power supply when we use such casing or it draws power from the USB itself. Also are these casings very well grounded to prevent electrostatic damages?Cost isnt the crieteria for me.........the casing should be flawless and it shudnt damage my HDD. Which features shud i progress for? Do you have any other suggestion for me?

What features should a appropriate 3.5 inch external complex disk storage area hold?

if your going to have it on alot...adjectives the time...I'd get one next to a fan. if, the heat sinks should be OK.

they are powered by an more wall plug (usb doesn't have ample juice to spin a hdd)...that comes beside the enclosure.

I own a few, never had a prob. beside grounding....static...anything like that...within all pretty solid

at the come to an end of the day...adjectives the enclosures are pretty much alike (functionally) it's just a box that holds a hdd, plugs within to the wall and with varing results attempts to keep hold of a hdd cool.

so just find one you resembling...fan's...led's...looks..... it in and your appropriate to go...

the solely important entity is that you must make sure that your hdd's nouns matches the compound (ata, sata, ide...ect.) and the out put type match what you want to use (usb, firewire, etc...)

cheers
