What does disk defragmenter do and should i do it any info..?

There is a pious description of disk defragmentation at the website below. It cleans up your hard drive and help it work more efficiently.
If you're on XP, don't bother. XP does a clad enough profession of file control on it's own.

If you're on 98 - it can't hurt.
Disk defragmenter is a program that helps coordinate and sort files internally on your computer (it doesnt actually move any of the files that you own on your computer). It's main purpose is to give support to make your computer run faster. If you hold Windows XP, you can run the program and hit Analyze, and it will let you know if your computer requirements to be defragmented.
It organizes your files, shifting the files to their proper place a short time ago like a library organize their books, that way a book on astronomy won't be on the history division, defragmenting your PC won't hurt and it does help, making your PC for a moment faster finding files
I recommend it to all my clients, it help organize your drive, speeds up access data and it allows you to see if here are any surface problem, use it in combination beside Scandisk.

I try to do a defrag every 2 days, along with a scan from my ad-aware and virus scan files.

XP does provide and moral file administration system, but the occasional defrag will not do you harm, you can set it up contained by Sheduled Tasks, to run on or at times when your not using the computer.
