What is a average operating heat of a Mobo and a Processor?

I'm running a Athlon XP 4600 Dual Core on a Asus Mobo

What is a average operating heat of a Mobo and a Processor?

idk..sori
If your motherboard is going over 50C or your processor is going over 60C it is exceptional. If they are going 10 or 15C above that then they could be overheating. And it is a huge problem.
IT depends on your configuration really.

If your computer is crashing/hanging afterwards something is obviously getting too hot.

I've have AMD processors run at 75 degrees gladly, and motherboards run at 60 at the sensor.

Depends a lot on where on earth the sensor is on the motherboard as well, usually it's on the northbridge. This is alright though as you can affix a heatsink/fan to this to keep tempratures down.

Are you overclocking by any karma?
It really depends on the processor. Pentium 4s and Pentium Ds run hotter than any other processors out there right very soon. Core 2 duos and any AMD chip will run at significantly lower temperatures because they require smaller quantity power running through them.

Your case heat should be below 65 degrees C.

Read up on the source schedule I gave you. Those two links should be calmness helpfull
General speaking, you shouldn't let the heat of your mobo go above 45c.

For processors, it depends the model of your processor. You can check their specs, if have everything you need.
