When i stir onto Sounds and Audio device properties, and click place volume icon on to taskbar, a windowpane pops up saying that the volume control program have not been installed and i want to go to add/remove programs to install it. But how and where on earth?
Volume Control?
try yhis
Click START
Click Control Panel
Click on System
Click on Hardware
Click on Device Manager
Click on the + by Sound,video,game Contollers
*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them
Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART
Wait at least possible 2 minutes then restart computer
Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers
Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, a moment ago remove the sound card drivers anyway, consequently do the Shutdown procedure
control panel - add/remove programs -windows componenets - volume controller... update it...
