Turn on the on the bus nouns?

You will inevitability to go to your motherboards bios and put into action it back on usually you press f8 switch or other of those when you start your computer to go to bios from here it should activate. If it is already activiated download the up-to-the-minute drivers for your onboard audio and it should work.
first: remove the sound card that doesnt work anymore.

second: install the drivers for the onboard nouns and restart if required.

also: your onboard sound might be disabled. to find out click Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager

and you should be capable of find it on there, if it is disabled the little deity next to it will own a red X

to enable it, simply right click on it, and click see.

hope i helped.
Is this a desktop or laptop? If it's a desktop, your best chance is to purchase a real nouns card (like Soundblaster live or better) as the onboard sound chipsets are mostly crappy and many times it's not easy to find the right driver whereas with a existing sound card from Creative Labs, you can be sure that a driver will be comfortable to obtain, even next to newer OS's.
its simple...go to nouns effect..choose multimedia. select audio n sound properties..thn underneath audi tab u will get to selelct ur nouns device in a dropdown menu..slect ur onboard nouns card as the default nouns device..its done..
