Is nearby any way to stop XP from openning a drive window when I insert a flash card to the reader. By drive windowpane I mean the fanlight that shows the contents of the dirve?
Stopping XP from pipe a drive porthole when I insert a flash card?
You should be able to stop this, yes! When the card is inserted, stir to My Computer & do a single 'right-click' over the 'drive' in quiz, select 'properties' & click on the Autoplay tab. All the options are contained by there, select Take no action from the inventory (or any others you see that may suit you!)
No it supposed to do that, as you plug in your device it become the default and open the window suitably.
The PC assumes the as you have inserted the device you yearning to use it. Just close it as you would any other drive and when you wish to use it simply unequivocal the drive you are on and you will see the icon for it.

Try this one...
Press the departed shift key basically before plugging the flash card or compact disc or DVD or any removeable media, and maintain it pressed untill windows make out the media. It will be showed up at the 'My computer' but at hand will be no Autorun..
