I am trying to slave my infirm hard drive which is IDE next to my Sada (sp) the Bios recognizes it but it doesn't show on window my computer as being near. I realize it is from my other system so it is set up for the old mother board, but that system's power supply is late. I need to be capable of access this drive so I can retrieve my family's pictures. Any help would be appreciated. The dated system had xp pro. clean xp mediacenter, both hard drives be from hp.

ok...it's sata.
you should be able to install it on the IDE gutter as a slave drive, even if you have to temporarily remove a cd drive. you consequently will be able to receive the photos and other data you stipulation
