What is better, drive imaging or posterior up software?

Some drive imagers enjoy backup functionality also.

What is better, drive imaging or posterior up software?

Depends on the application... Backup software almost always let you go wager on to a previous version of a record, and specify all sorts of prospect for how long you keep background around... but it usually isn't very appropriate at recovering your whole system.

Imaging software is great for disaster reclamation (getting the whole drive back), but lacks features for getting old-fashioned versions of files.

However, most unadulterated imaging software needs your domestic device to be shutdown, or exclusive access to the drive to work. if it seems to work while you browse the pattern, it's faking unadulterated imaging. Which is good. You really individual need to logo the stuff once, and then do directory backups from that point on. Those hybrid softwares are worth looking into.
